Smart Layover aims to protect you as a consumer in a few different ways:
- If you find a lower price for the same hotel room, activity, tour, or deal offered by the same operator within 72 hours of booking we will refund the price difference. Just send us the details and we will take care of the rest! *offer must be priced in the same currency*
- If you arrive at your layover destination and find the same hotel room, activity, tour, or deal at a lower price from our operator we will refund the price difference. Just send us the details and we will take care of the rest! It’s as easy as… pie?
Requesting a Refund from Smart Layover
If you find yourself in a situation where you need a refund from Smart Layover, please make a copy, print out, or take a screen shot of the lower rate. This will clear up any questions a Smart Layover representative may have while processing your request.
Here is some additional information to keep in mind when claiming your refund:
- Smart Layover’s Low-Price Guarantee is available to any customer who makes a qualifying purchase through the SmartLayover.com website or by using the Smart Layover Mobile Application. DOWNLOAD NOW. Qualifying purchases must include a minimum purchase of $20 (US or equivalent). Please note that show, concert, and event tickets are not covered by Smart Layover’s Low Price Guarantee.
- Retail and prepaid rates do not include discounts you may receive (or be eligible for) from third-party organizations such as AAA or AARP. Only retail rates available to the general public are covered by Smart Layover’s Low Price Guarantee.
- If you find a lower retail or prepaid rate for the same tour or activity, offered on the same date and priced in the same currency as your original purchase, on any other Web site within 72 hours following your confirmed reservation on SmartLayover.com, Smart Layover will refund the difference.
- Upon arrival in your destination, if you find a lower retail price offered by Smart layover’s contracted operator for the same tour or activity, offered on the same date and priced in $ US, Smart Layover will refund the difference.
- To submit a refund request, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, Smart Layover Booking Number or Itinerary Reference Number and your home address, plus proof (receipt, price list, flyer, web address, or web screen shot, etc.) of the lower price

- Smart Layover reserves the right to verify details of the lower price wherever possible. All refund decisions will be made at the sole discretion of Smart Layover.
- Refunds of the price difference will be processed to the credit card used for the original booking. Please not: Smart Layover will only process one “Low Price Guarantee” refund per tour or activity purchased.
